“Birthdays are not just about cakes and presents; they are about showering our friends with love, appreciation, and heartfelt wishes.” – Optimalprint
The dictum for my birthday celebration was “let’s keep it simple but fun”! Yes, it was simple and fun!
The night before, my very good friends, sisters Beverly Rosales-Chaplin and Joji Rosales-Cid, hosted a “salubong” party for me at Protagonists. Joining us were fashion designer Bo Parcon and image stylist Erriz Lanceta. To say it was fun was an understatement! Pizza, pasta, burger and drinks got us in good mood till wee hours!

The following day, a Sunday, kicked off with a Holy Mass at St. Joseph Chapel at Festive Walk Mall – for thanksgiving, blessings and praising!
Later in the evening, yours truly hosted an intimate dinner at Misto Restaurant of Seda Hotel Iloilo. It was attended by closest friends, bon vivants Nacy Hechanova, Orson Orleans, Joel Uy and Dado Tan.
Over gastronomic and beveragic delights, we reminisced, joked around and laughed heartily with our usual bravado!
Of course, the beso-beso, kodakan and chikahan continued at What’s Up Bar. There we enjoyed several rounds of our preferred libations and sumptuous hors d’oeuvres, while dancing to our favorite tunes!
The occasion was also time to plan for upcoming trips, get-togethers and friends’ birthdays!
Before calling it the night, we made a last stop at Club Ice to check on the happenings.
Well, of course, my birthday bash ended on a high note as we went on our separate merry ways!
