MORE Power in spirit of volunteerism as it continues its bloodletting activity

“A single pint can save three lives, a single gesture can create a million smiles.” – a blood donation slogan

As they celebrate their company’s 4th anniversary, MORE Power employees had a meaningful start of the week – yes, by donating blood. The electric distribution utility gathered its linemen, security guards, contractor and employees for a massive bloodletting activity. Indeed it was wonderful way of marking a milestone.

At the end of the day, 46 units of blood were collected.

According to the employees of MORE, “it is a good practice to have an annual bloodletting activity to promote the spirit of volunteerism and be a beacon of light to those who are in critical situation.”

Employee DAVE BELTRAN said, “I was thankful and blessed that I had the chance to donate blood, and as well as this blood will become a blessing to others who will be its recipient.”

As of now, per Philippine Red Cross Iloilo information, there is not enough blood supply in the blood bank. “These bloodletting activity plays a huge contribution to those who are in need,” said an insider.

Now on its 5th bloodletting activity since it started its operation in 2022, MORE Power has donated an accumulative 194 units of blood to the Philippine Red Cross.

It can be recalled that on February 14, 2019, then President RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE signed Republic Act 11212, a law that gave MORE Power the franchise to serve as the electric distribution utility of Iloilo City.
