“Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky.” – Khalil Gibran

In Brgy. Ingore, Lapaz, Iloilo City, MORE Power workforce joined forces with the Guardians of the environment to plant 300 trees for a more sustainable future.

Per Ma. Cecilia Pe-Calunod, who is the hardworking Assistant Vice President of Customer Care of MORE Power, “this is part of the 5-year sustainable project of Iloilo City’s sole distribution utility.” She said in mixed English and vernacular, “So for the next 5 years si MORE Power, naga commit gid siya nga magtanum siya sang 10,000 trees. For this year, we are committing ourselves to plant 2,000 trees. So sa subong towards the end of the year, we are planning to plant 1000 more trees.”

This is part of MORE Power’s commitment towards the Ilonggo Community. The utility company is doing its role in “a sustainable future, beyond its main purpose in power distribution.”
