With its façade restored and lighted, Sta. Ana Parish Church, popularly known as Molo Church, towers over the plaza.
“Let there be light” was the business of the night few moons ago at the historic Molo Plaza! Rightfully so, the restored Molo Plaza and the façade of the renovated Sta. Ana Parish Church, popularly known as Molo Church, majestically glowed during the official lighting ceremony! The anticipated formalities came minutes before the heavy downpour!
The Lighting Event was the piece de resistance of the program that included the Turnover Ceremony of the Completed Project for Molo Plaza by Dr. Rene R. Escalante, Chair of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), and the Ceremonial Signing and Acceptance by Mayor Jerry P. Treñas of Iloilo City.
There was also the Ceremonial Signing of Uswag Residential Complex between Mayor Treñas and Rep. Jojo Ang of the Uswag Partylist.
Guest Speakers were Senator Franklin M. Drilon, the man behind this restoration project, Vice Mayor Jeffrey P. Ganzon of Iloilo City, and Roel Z. Castro, the President of MORE Electric and Power Corporation.
MORE Power Iloilo took charge of the installation of lights at the plaza and church façade!
