As a practicing pulmonologist and internist, his specialty is in the field of pulmonary medicine, specifically in interventional bronchoscopy. He had several publications as a lead researcher and co researcher in internationally and local recognized journals.
After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Medical Techonology degree from Southwestern University in 1989, Doc Rollin finished his Doctor of Medicine degree in West Visayas State University in 1994.
He got his Residency at Iloilo Mission Hospital in 1999 and Fellowship Training in Pulmonary Medicine at Veteans Memorail Medical Center in 2001.

Under the Monbukagusho Japanese Grant Scholarship, he went to Kyoto School of Medicine in Kyoto University in 2004 for a Post Graduate Research Training. He was also trained in Interventional Bronchoscopy (transbronchial needle aspiration biopsy) at Hospital Torette in Ancona Italy in 2005 under a grant of European Respiratory Society.
Among his most notable awards and citations are Region Finest of Iloilo 2022, Achievers Award from the Municipality of Concepcion in the field of Medicine in 2017, Best Dressed Awardee of Iloilo 2012 and 2022, Most Outstanding Men Awardee of Iloilo 2012, and Outstanding Young Scientist Award 2006 by Department of Science and Technology. And the list goes on and on!
