PWD: Painting With Disabilities was part of a series of activities to mark the 10th Death Anniversary of statesman Raul M. Gonzalez (former DOJ Secretary and Representative of the Lone District of Iloilo City). The celebration of life and legacy is dubbed “Palanublion: Sang Una Asta Subong… Gonzalez Always.”

Held at the Hon. Raul M. Gonzalez Museum (HRMGM) in Petalsville in Tabuc Suba, Jaro, it was an art exhibition featuring the obras maestras of his son Jose Mari “Jojo” T. Gonzalez, who suffers from Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy.

Of course, the artist’s mom, Dr. Pacita Trinidad-Gonzalez; brother, Dr. Dennis T. Gonzalez; and sister, Dr. Marigold “Gold” T. Gonzalez were in hand to welcome the invitees who were treated to a sumptuous merienda cena.
Forty-four (44) art works were on display. They were all done as part of the artist’s rehabilitation to practice his hands. All the pieces were up for auction to raise funds for the charitable projects of Hon. Raul M. Gonzales Foundation, Inc.
