Who will be the next Miss Iloilo Queens?

After months of speculations, predictions, fearless forecasts, preparations, countless photoshoots, numerous appearances, many beauty camp and personality development sessions, endless events, and preliminaries, the new set of Miss Iloilo Queens will be crowned in a glittering affair at WVSU Cultural Center on Saturday!

The new Queens will have the chance to represent the Province and City of Iloilo in major national pageants. Aside from fame, prestige and fortune, they will have memories to last a lifetime! Who knows one of them may grab an international title!

Who will shine, outshine everyone, remain in the shadows or run from behind as a dark horse? Oh, well, your guess is as good as mine. But one thing is for sure, everyone will definitely outdo one another!

The 15 beautiful, intelligent and charming candidates are an eclectic mix of crossover and comebacking queens, municipal winners, models, students and young ladies who wish to make an impact in their communities. As catalysts for change, they are imbued with the sense of duty to better the world, in their little way, of course.

So, good luck, ladies. Show them the essence of a true Ilongga with heartfelt beauty!

ANGEL JED ZARAGOSA LATORRE is 18 and represents Sta. Barbara. She is a freshman at Far Eastern University taking Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. She has represented our country at Miss Teen International 2023 where she won the Miss International Continental Queen of Asia. She champions poverty alleviation and social awareness.

21 year old RANIELLA LOUISE ARELLANO AGUILA hails from Cabatuan. A Senior High School student at the University of San Agustin, she is the reigning Tinuom Festival Queen. According to her she can solve the Rubik’s Cube under one minute. Her advocacy is safeguarding the indigenous and cultural communities and their living heritage as a way to protect their identity and culture, and nature.

Representing Maasin is FEVY MARIE T. GECA. She is 22 and a Senior College student at Iloilo Science and Technology University. A consistent Dean’s Lister, Miss Maasin 2022 and Miss Model Youth, she is a working student by venturing into small businesses. Thus, she advocated for the promotion of  sustainable livelihood of local artisans and supporting MSMEs by instilling entrepreneurial mindset and financial literacy.

An Iranian-Filipina who hails from San Miguel, HAMDA A. JUDICPA is 17 years old. With highest honors, she is a student at Leonora S. Salapantan National High School where she was named Miss Leonora 2023. She wants to pursue her childhood dreams of becoming a beauty queen. She believes that by joining Miss Iloilo 2024, she will advance her advocacy on the rights and dignity of people with disabilities.

CLARISE ARCA DEOCADES is one of the candidates hailing from Dumangas. Representing Calao, Dumangas, this 21 year old graduating sudent at Iloilo Science and Technology University Dumangas Campus is a youth leader who likes to travel. She is also an honor student, campus queen and model. She bats for equality and sustainability of life for farmers and fisherfolks.

26-year old SHAIMA ROBLES AL YANSURI is an Egyptian-Filipina Bachelor of Science in Broadcasting graduate of West Visayas State University with Cum Laude honors. She represents Guimbal. Among her titles and awards are Miss College of Communication-WVSU 2016, Anyag Kang Bantayan 2nd runner up and Bantayan Film Festival Best Actress 2013 and 2018. Believing in her potential and capabilities, she joined Miss Iloilo 2024 to pursue her advocacy on the  upliftment of the living conditions of the marginalized sectors, particularly of the low-income farmers in Guimbal under the pioneering program of Guimbalikid Inc. She is currently employed at Reed Elsevier Philippines.

Hailing from Bacong, Dumagas is 24 year old RONA MAE CLAUD DOREGIOS. She is a graduate of the University of San Agustin where she was declared Miss Intramurals 2018. Her beauty title is Pinakamaanyag nga Lin-ay sang Banga (South Cotabato) 2022 Top Ten. She considers herself a solo traveler, polygot and adrenaline junky who aspires to seek the best version of herself. In pursuit of resiliency and self-discovery, she joined Miss Iloilo 2024 to promote Dumangas as a top tourist destination.

Tall, slim and modelesque NICKLYN TIGRES JUTAY is 21 years old. A college undergraduate at West Visayas State University, she represents Tigbauan. According to her, she is a self-made woman building her dreams and now living it. One of the sought after local ramp models, she joined Miss Iloilo 2024 because someone believed. A former Reyna kang Saludan, she advocates for sustainable living among the coastal residents of her hometown and for the fisherfolks.

22 year old former national team player, professional model and content creator ALEXIE MAE CAIMOSO BROOKS loves to sing and write music and poetry. Hailing from Leon, she is a college student at National University Manila. She joined Miss Iloilo 2024 to achieve her childhood dreams to become Miss Universe. Her advocacy is to empower women through sports by leveraging transformative journey from kid to woman of hope and power.

RITZ PATARAY BAÑAS, who represents Lemery, is an 18 year old freshman at PHINMA University of Iloilo. She is the reigning Saug Festival Queen. According to her, her obsession to purple defines her as a soft and lovely person. She joined Miss Iloilo 2024 to further develop her confidence, and use it as a platform for her advocacy – to recognize the need of education, livelihood opportunities and equality for the Indigenous People.

A native of Passi City, MERIEL FAITH DUMAPIT is a 20 year old high school graduate from West Visayas State University. She is a members of the Young Journalists’ Society, and Miss Passi City Tourism-Miss Heritage and History 1st runner up and Miss Talent. A classically trained singer who started competing at a young age, she is also skilled in table tennis, Wushu, Muay Thai and arnis (having earned awards in these sports). Her advocacy is “Ani sa Pag-Umwad,” which promotes modern and sustainable farming practices.

A licensed Professional Teacher, JOANNE JANE NACIONGAYO bats for using dance to spread awareness about social welfare, education and cultural preservation. She is 25 years old and hails from Oton. Among her titles are Miss Pag-irimaw 2015 4th runner up and Hiyas sang Katagman 2018 Bet in Talent. Excited and ready to enter the world of pageantry again, she would like to travel and visit different place in the Philippines to learn and experience their culture, stories and cuisine.

From Concepcion is 22 year old JAYVE L. DUBLAS. An undergraduate at West Visayas State University, she is an NGO Loob volunteer, Silak Media layout artist, and a members of the support group for the Association of Early Childhood Students. Her titles include Lin-ay Sang Brgy Domingo 2017, Perlas Sang Tampisaw 2018 4th runner up, Perlas Sang Tampisaw 2023/Miss Tampisaw Iloilo, Iloilo Prettiest-Reina Digital Award, and Miss COE 3rd runner up. She was motivated to join Miss Iloilo 2024 because of her stint as a pre-service early childhood teacher. She believes in “Hugpong Para Sa Planeta, Luwason Ang Masunod Na Henerasyon.”

REIGN LOUIS PATOSA PONTA-OY represents Pototan. At 21, she is a college student at Iloilo Doctors’ College. She is an SK Kagawad who won the following titles, Miss Foundation Day of TASSI 2016, Miss Municipal 2017, Miss Radtech 2023 and Miss Hinampang 2nd runner up. With dancing as her first love, she joined Miss Iloilo 2024 with the belief that, “you’ll never be ready unless you’ll try.” Her advocacy is geared towards Welfare of the Senior Citizens.

A third year college student at PHINMA University of Iloilo, 21 year old PEARL ANGEL RIBO FRANCO hails from Ajuy. She considers herself an empowered woman who never easily give up even at her lowest time. She joined Miss Iloilo 2024 at the prodding of her mom. She advocates for mental health. Her titles include Lin-ay sa Paskwa sa Sara 2022 1st runner up, queen of the North 2022 1st runner up, Miss Liga ng mga Barangay 2022, Lin-ay sang Pantalan Navarro 2023, Perlas sang Tampisaw Earth 2023 and Lin-ay sang Tambobo 2nd runner up.

Supported by Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc. (IFFI) headed by its Chair JUDGEE LOPEZ PEÑA and President ALLAN TAN, Miss Iloilo Committee is spearheaded by its Co-Chairs SARAH O. PEÑA and BEVERLY ROSALES-CHAPLIN.
